John Abraham
John Abraham, born December 17, 1973, is an Indian actor and model.

His father is a Malayalee Christian architect, born in Aluva, Kerala, while his motheris Parsi and was a basketball teacher. Both of them eloped because oftheir religious differences and Abraham's birth mended his parentsstrained relationship with the grandparents. Abraham has one youngerbrother Alan.

Abraham first went to Bombay Scottish School and laterto Jai Hind College, where he held the position of captain in the soccerteam. After earning a MBA in marketing, he worked post-grad forEnterprises-Nexus as a media planner, while being captain of Bombay'ssoccer team.

In 1999, he won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest and went toSingapore for Manhunt International, where he won a second place. He didProvogue ads and became India's best paid supermodel.

In 2003,Abraham entered Bollywood with the controversial and successful movieJism. He recently featured in the Indian PETA campaign. Currently, JohnAbraham is dating actress and fellow model Bipasha Basu.
